I put my artwork on hold until the fall of 1981 when I attended Officer Training School at Medina Annex, Lackland AFB, TX, in the United States Air Force.  I volunteered to draw the cover art for our class’s ‘The Trailblazer’ Graduation Booklet, and chose to draw an F-15 Eagle using the pen and ink stippling technique I had experience with:
