Our Adventures In Baking ~ Raisin Bread

We’re great fans of freshly baked bread and desserts, and my wife recently made raisin bread using a favorite base recipe that we enjoy called ‘Easy White Bread (no egg)’ found at ‘Jenny Can Cook dot com.’

The only difference from the base recipe was adding in a little more than a half cup of raisins when mixing the bread dough, and dusting the loaf with flour prior to baking.  The result was a nicely distributed selection of raisins throughout the loaf which tasted great, and satisfied our desire for raisin bread ~ enjoy! ☼ 🙂

Our Adventures In Baking ~ No Knead Crusty Rolls

We love dinner rolls, so my wife decided to make a recipe for ‘No Knead Crusty Rolls’ she found on ‘Jenny Can Cook dot com’ ~ and they’re absolutely delicious! 🙂 Be sure to watch Jenny’s video on her website, as they’re always fun and informative to watch.

There isn’t much for me to add concerning making these rolls, or cleaning the kitchen (my job), so I’ll just post a few photos and let you know that this recipe’s a winner ~ enjoy! ☼ 🙂

Our Adventures In Baking ~ Homemade Cinnamon Rolls

My wife decided to make a recipe for ‘Homemade Cinnamon Rolls’ after watching Jenny’s video of how to make them on her website ‘Jenny Can Cook dot com’ ~ and they’re absolutely scrumptious and yummy! 🙂  We gave them the taste test after the recommended 3-minute waiting period after they were iced and loved them, as these cinnamon rolls are absolutely delicious.

Everything you need to make them is explained on Jenny’s website, and the video is a must-watch to see how the process works, and a pleasure to view ~ enjoy! ☼ 🙂

Our Adventures In Baking ~ Easy Whole Wheat or White Bread

My wife tried a new bread recipe the other day called ‘Easy White Bread (no egg),’ that she found on ‘Jenny Can Cook dot com’ ~ and it turned out wonderfully!  The only change she made to Jenny’s recipe was to substitute a half cup of whole wheat flour, and dust the top with flour to make it more rustic looking.

It turns out this bread is easy to make, and both toasts and grills in a pan beautifully, creating a nice crispy crunch to grilled cheese sandwiches and when toasted.  We’ve added Jenny’s recipe to our regular rotation of bread recipes for baking, and it’s definitely a winner ~ enjoy our gallery photos below! ☼ 🙂
