My Original Artwork ~ Ocean Sunset

Here’s my latest acrylic-on-stretched-canvas painting called ‘My Original Artwork ~ Ocean Sunset (16″ x 20″),’ a contemporary take on the subject.  This is the first of a series of five contemporary style paintings I’ve decided to create, based solely on the reason that I have lots of bright acrylic colors that seldom get used in my traditional color schemes.  Plus, it’s a way for me to deliberately try new things and go in new directions with my artwork.  I plan for each one of these contemporary paintings to be completely different and unique, each time taking me to a place I’ve never visited before ~ enjoy! ☼ 🙂

My Original Artwork-in-Progress ~ Salzburg, Österreich or Salzburg, Austria

After a pause in painting art, to paint our house and do some landscaping in the yard over the past few months, I’ve set up a new art studio in our home and started painting again!  I very much enjoy composing and painting images I love, and now that I have a new standing drafting table, I can immerse myself in my art once again! 🙂 My favorite compositions are based on city profiles, where there are distinctive buildings, landscape features and profiles that I can incorporate into my paintings.

I have two smaller 11″ x 14″ canvasses to use at the moment, and then I’ll return to my favorite 18″ x 36″ size to focus more on larger projects in the future.  My current work-in-progress is called ‘Salzburg, Österreich’ (11″ x 14″) – using the German spelling for Salzburg, Austria.  I’ll share updates of my painting progress with you from time-to-time, to show how this painting develops ~ enjoy! ☼ 🙂

My Original Artwork: Seattle Skyline – Work In Progress Update #5 (Sep 2015)

This is my fifth update about my Seattle Skyline painting that I’m currently working on, and I hope to complete it soon!  I’ve made progress since my last update, and still have a number of buildings to paint and corrections to make on it, but I like how it’s coming along so far:
