My wife made a new cake recipe today called ‘Honey Bun Cake From Scratch (No Cake Mix)’ found online at ‘The Semisweet Sisters’ dot com. This cake tastes just like an old-fashioned coffee cake to me, which I really enjoyed, as the layer of cinnamon in the middle was a real hit. My preference for making this particular cake a second time would be to skip the icing all together, as it’s too sweet for my particular taste, and instead bake it in a bundt cake form with only a dusting of powered sugar when served. Another idea would be to mix in a portion of finely chopped walnuts into the batter, and I’d love to have it served at breakfast ~ enjoy! ☼ 🙂
