My Original Artwork: 452nd FTS, Class 8219, Class Patch Design (1982)

I started Undergraduate Navigator Training at Mather AFB, CA, in the 452nd Flying Training Squadron (FTS), Class 8219, in the United States Air Force in January 1982.  Our class needed to come up with a design for our class patch, so I drew and submitted a drawing that was later adopted by the squadron and used for our classes’ patch. The squadron sent my drawing to the patch manufacturer and I don’t recall if I ever received it back or not, but I don’t have the original illustration today.  Here’s the patch we wore on our flight suits back in the day, that served us well during the time we were training to fly jets as navigators:
